Prakruthi Paradise Coorg is a well furnished homestay situated on the outskirts of the madikeri town around 2.5 kms from the madikeri KSRTC bus stand and 1.5 kms from the private bus stand. It is surrounded by FMKMC College Campus and very close to the Nishani Hills, Mandalapatti as the tourists can make their eyes enough satisfied by seeing the beautiful green view of Mountains. Madikeri Fort

Madikeri Fort has been a popular tourist attraction to witness the lives, rise and fall of several glorious rulers and dynasty. Founded by Mudduraja in the second half of the 17th century and constructed in mud, it finally took shape in granite and has stood testimony to several incidents. It is a coming together of several religions and an amalgamation of different cultures and traditions.

Abbey Falls

Abbey Falls is one of the most attractive waterfalls in South India and also one of the best places in Coorg. Falling down from a height of 70 feet in the middle of a panoramic landscape, the tourists are sure to be charmed by the spectacle..

Raja’s Seat

Raja’s Seat is a popular tourist destination of Madikeri. It is named so as in the past, the place has been visited by the kings of Coorg. Raja’s seat offers a panoramic view of the surrounding region consisting of green valleys, towering hills and paddy fields. The atmosphere of the place is quite refreshing and it is one of the best Coorg attractions.

Omkareshwara Temple

Omkareshwara Temple is an ancient Hindu architecture built by King Linga Rajendra II of the Kodagu Kingdom in Coorg, as early as the 19th century. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and is one of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Shiva located across the country.

Gaddige (Raja's Tomb)

Raja's tomb called Gaddige is an archaeological site in Coorg and is a protected monument, but however, the place needs a little more attention. The Indo- Sarcenic Muhammadan style monument has three tombs. On top of the corners, carvings of Nandi can be seen and Lord Shiva is worshipped inside the tomb.


Located on an altitude of 4050 feet Mandalpatti is Madikeri’s famous hilltop. Being a lush green, serene place, Mandalpatti has recently received enormous appraisals from tourists visiting Madikeri. As the area offers tranquility and seclusion, residents of nearby villages often plan their weekends here. A nature lover will surely fall in love with the magnificent beauty of this place! Mandalpatti forms a part of the natural reserves of Pushpagiri forest.

Talacauvery & Bhagamandala

The temples of Talacauvery are located in Bhagamandala. These are important sites of culture and heritage. Located in the Brahmagiri Hill, Talacauvery is about 1200 metres above sea level. This place offers panoramic scenery. It is popular among tourists and locals alike. You can see many international tourists come for a holiday. In fact, many of them are repeat visitors. Namdroling Monastery, Bylakuppe (Golden Temple)

Situated at 34 km distance from Coorg district, Namdroling Monastery is a popular spiritual centre and also among the best place in Coorg. This place is amongst Mysore’s largest teaching centres where you learn every aspect of Tibetan Buddhism. Amongst locals, this shrine is famous as the Golden Temple.


Nisargadhama Ecological Park is tucked between a lush coverage of bamboo groves and a serene Kaveri river. Standing at a distance of 28 km from Coorg, this place amplifies the overall beauty of Coorg. Stretched across a land cover of 64 acres, this place is abundantly blessed with a good variety of flora and fauna.

Harangi Dam

Harangi Dam is an interesting place to visit for those who need some seclusion from the crowd and want to spend more time with nature. This dam is located in Hudgur village near Kushalnagar and is built across the River Cauvery. Harangi Dam is located at a distance of approximately 36 km from Madikeri. Agriculture is the main occupation in this part of the country, so to meet the water demand for irrigation this dam was built.

Mallalli Falls

Mallalli Falls is the most sought-after tourist place to visit in Coorg, Karnataka. It is one of the bemusing natural beauties, frequently talked about together with the Abbey Falls, Kodagu. One cannot compare the heavenly beauty of Mallalli Falls with another water body in the state of Karnataka.The cascading falls seated 26 km off Somwarpet right at the base of the Pushpagiri Hills leave tourists mesmerized with its beauty and splendour.

Dubare Elephant Camp

Dubare is known for its elephant camp, a forest camp on the banks of the river Kaveri in the district of Kodagu, Karnataka. It is an important base for the Karnataka Forest Department's elephants.The elephants for the Mysore Dussehra were trained at Dubare elephant camp. At present, after logging operations have ceased, the elephants have been practically retired except for giving interaction activities with them to tourists.

Nagarhole National Park (90 kms from Madikeri City)

Nagarhole National Park or Rajiv Gandhi National Park, established in 1988, is a national park standing among India's leading Tiger Reserves along with Bandipur Tiger Reserve, which is adjacent to it. It has been named after Nagarahole, which translates to Cobra river in Kannada and is a winding river running through its centre. The park is not only the thirty-seventh Project Tiger Tiger Reserve but also a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.

Iruppu Falls

Iruppu Falls is one of the best tourist destinations of South India, a best place in Coorg and a popular trekking site in Karnataka for a plethora of gems the place has in its store. It is a cascading waterfall that flows down the Bramhagiri hills nestled amidst the woodlands in the Coorg district of Karnataka. Iruppu Falls is also known as the Lakshmana Tirtha Falls as it originates as the tributary of River Cauvery under the same name.

Coffee Plantation Visit
